ABOUT THE ROLE
With the company continually expanding, we are looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to join our team to support the Finance Manager and Head of Finance. This diverse role will allow you to get involved in the high-volume transactions of the purchase ledger, with the support of a Junior Finance Assistant, through to reconciling accounts and preparing reports.
The successful candidate should ideally have a minimum of 3 year’s experience working in a finance environment and hold an AAT qualification, or similar.
The post-holder should possess competency to enable the accurate processing of a high volume of financial transactions using Xero and possess good Excel skills.
It is critical that the ideal candidate possesses a strong attention to detail, whilst having the ability to work accurately to strict deadlines.
There will be a requirement to provide support to the finance team with a range of administrative duties to ensure accurate and up to date record keeping.
The role will be working closely with the Finance Assistant and will report directly to the Finance Manager. 
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Processing of accounts payable
Process monthly credit card statements
Reconciliations of accounts payable and receivable
Liaise with the Accountant for payment runs
Bank Reconciliations
Daily sales and banking journals
Petty cash reconciliations
Deal with finance and any general admin queries as required
Work with accountant for month end duties
Stock journals

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential

Attention to detail
Have a good understanding of VAT
Multi-Tasking
IT Skills, in particular Excel
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Excellent communication skills
Good time management skills

Desirable

AAT Qualified
Experience of using Xero
Previous experience working with the hospitality sector
